Swamp Sessions Songwriting Retreat and Workshop offers songwriters (and musicians) a place to create, explore their talents, work with our instructors, write with others, or work alone. At this retreat, artists can record their songs, take workshops (from our instructors) to refine their skills, walk the songwriting challenge trail, have a breath to become more connected to their work, and community. The retreat is in a pristine, natural setting on solar power in a national Forest on private land.

Take the virtual songwriting trail workshop right now! This is part of our LIVE on-stie programming as well for participants!

The retreat is a three day weekend at the solar powered Swamp House in the Francis Marion Forest. The house and 100 acre property are owned by Dr. Eddie White, founder and proprietor of the weekly concert series The Barn Jam at Awendaw Green, in beautiful Awendaw, SC. The Barn Jam is a coveted gig for local, regional, and national touring musicians.

As Awendaw Green’s “Artist in Residence”, Eddie and I created Swamp Sessions Songwriter Retreat Workshop to benefit all artists with a unique, natural, pristine setting, to inspire an experience where intensified music education flourishes. This retreat is designed for people wanting an experience to explore their musical talents in a pristine natural setting on solar power. Career musicians meet with the up-and coming artists, and those willing to take their gifts and interests further.

This year, Swamp Session will have our first writing retreat/workshops since the Covid-19 lock-down. During the January sessions, we are partnering with Soul Shine Studios to record and document our programming. Please join our mailing list to inquire about future sessions and stay up to date of all Things Swamp Sessions.
