Randy Steele is more than a highly regarded singer/songwriter, and he is more than a great banjo player from Tennessee. He has a viewpoint on the world that is without filters. His lines are poignant; they have meaning and feel. ‘Home is Where the Hardest Part is’ he pines in ‘Mobile Soon’, the Independent Music Association winner for Best Bluegrass Song. ‘Melissa had a baby when she was Seventeen, but the State took him away because his blood wasn’t clean’ begins the ‘Age of Ben’ which caught the attention of American Songwriter Magazine and placed Steele as a Semi-Finalist in Song of the Year Category in 2024. ‘The Extra Mile is a Gravel Road’ from Steele’s latest release, continues this with this trend and is turning heads. The songs have a point, they have meaning and it’s evident immediately in Steele’s performances. With a viewpoint based on decades of work as a Professional Firefighter in an impoverished community and a musical style crafted from years of Bluegrass, Jamband, and Singer/Songwriter shows. Randy and the High Cold Wind have been turning heads and ears since their inception as a support band for Randy’s songwriter touring. In 2023 the band expanded rapidly into a full on bluegrass jam machine. After a few shows, they found themselves invited to multiple festivals throughout the Southeast US with acts like Greensky Bluegrass, Yonder Mountain String Band, East Nash Grass, and Larry Keel, while Randy began sitting in with bands like Mountain Grass Unit and Andy Frasco. The band is made up of some of the Southeast’s highest talents including flat pick wizard Brad Clark on guitar. Multiple State, multiple instrumental contest Champion and well known teacher John Boulware on Mandolin and Slim Pickins Bluegrass’ own Justin Hupp on the upright bass. They are playing extensively throughout the Southeast and beyond in 2026, see ya at the show!

The Podunk Ramblers are a 6 piece Bluegrass band based out of Columbia, SC playing a mix of traditional and progressive bluegrass. Our group formed through weekly Jams at the University of South Carolina Bluegrass Club.
Our goal is to bring high-energy performances and fast pickin' to every show we play.
The DamRites are a Bluegrass/Americana/Jamgrass band that we met at one of our early Bluegrass Festivals jamming in the parking lot. They have since played that fest and are playing all over Charleston.

The Stono River Project is a rising Charleston based band that blends the sounds of americana, folk, rock, country, and blues. Band leader and songwriter, Skyler Waddell, highlights themes of love, sorrow, hope, and lowcountry living is his songs. He grew up surrounded by Charlestons rich music scene, and currently studies jazz guitar at College of Charleston.
We are celebrating the release of their second ever single “I’m yours and you’re mine,” a reassuring tune about the trials and challenges of long distance love.
Natty Grass is a Charleston based Love Child of Reggae and Bluegrass.
Erin Indigo is a singer songwriter from Georgia, based in Charleston, SC. Her music blends indie-folk and southern story-telling, with a big focus on the natural world. Her greatest musical influences include Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake, and Adrianne Lenker. Outside of her own projects, she is a trumpet player in local pop/funk band The Fiori*, and is working on releasing her first EP.
